The annual Boscombe 10K race organised by Bournemouth Joggers ladies running club, starts at 10.30am in Kings Park Athletics Stadium, Bournemouth.
Entry is £14 for UKA affiliated and £16 for non-affiliated participants (plus a £1 processing fee)
The event is a chip timed undulating 10k open road race. Entrants must be 15 years or over. Memento for all finishers.
As part of the event we also hold a children’s 1.5K Fun Run, which will take place before the main event at 9.30am. The Fun Run starts and finishes in the stadium, there are prizes for the first boy and girl under 10 and under 15 and all finishers receive a race medal. Online entry only this year. Entry for the Fun Run is £5.00 (plus £0.50 processing fee).
Refreshments and toilet facilities in the stadium.
The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. No dogs or pushchairs allowed.

Please note: Race entries close on the 18th November 2022 (or when 650 limit is reached) & transfers also close on 18th November 2022. There are no entries available on the day and it will not be possible to transfer your entry to another athlete after this date.
Round The Rock 10k – 7th July 2024

Race Details
Round the Rock started life in 2008 as the RMPAC Silver Jubilee 10k, after which it was decided to hold the race on an annual basis, with the new name of Round the Rock voted for by club members.
The Route
The route is undulating, predominately on tarmac roads and pavements, and takes you around the top of the Isle of Portland in a figure of eight, with a short loop of two and a half kilometers and a longer loop of seven and a half kilometers.
The race start and finish is at the Blues Club Grove Road, Portland. This is the home ground of Portland United Football Club and parking, as well as toilet and changing facilities, are available. To get there by road head for Weymouth then follow the signs for Portland on the A354. Follow the main road to the top of Portland to the Heights Hotel roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout to Easton. After approximately 300 yards you will pass the Chesil Beach Motors Garage and the Recycling Centre on your left, the next turning on the left is Grove Road. The PUFC ground is approximately 300 yards on your left. If using a Satnav enter the postcode DT5 1DP. Parking (weather depending) will be in the field over the road.

If you aren’t interested in receiving a medal at the end of the race, you can let us know during registration to help cut down on wastage.

On the day entry
If the event has not sold out, on the day entry will be available and there will be an additional £2
fee for any on the day entries. However, as this year’s race is a DRRL League event we are
expecting it to sell out.
Number Collection
All numbers are to be collected on the day.
RMPAC Members
RMPAC members are welcome to run, however in order to do so you will need to provide a
willing volunteer to marshal in your place. During registration you will need to provide their name
and email address, so be sure to have those to hand (and make sure you’ve got their
permission first).
Waiting List
Once the race is full, a waiting list will be maintained. Should places become available, we will
contact people on the waiting list in the order that they signed up to see if they still want a place
before moving on to the next.

entering the race
I will abide by the laws and rules for the competition of the UKA. I am medically fit to run and
understand that I enter at my own risk and that the organisers will in no way be held responsible
for any injury or illness incurred to my person or as a result of the event or for any property lost.
I also understand that no refund can be given in the event that the race is canceled due to
circumstances outside the organiser’s control, or if I am unable to compete due to illness or
injury.
General Data Protection Registration – Privacy Policy
Your entry into the race via Timing Monkey requires you to provide personal data.
Royal Manor of Portland Athletics Club (RMPAC) the race organiser we will use this in two
ways:
1. To enter you in the race, provide a race number & a results service based on your data and
your finishing time.
2. To communicate via email to inform you of the pre-race instructions, any other
communication relevant to the race and to send you the link to the post-race results.
Your information is not shared or passed to any other organisation other than England Athletics
and the Dorset Road Race League. Published results information will include basic information
about your name, your race time, club and your age group. The results will be displayed via the
website and/or the Facebook Race page. It won’t be used other than for the purposes described
above.
Event photos will be published on the web site and social media.
If you don’t feel that this is a legitimate use of your data then please don’t enter the race.
No headphones of any type are allowed, this includes bone conduction ones, unless you have a
genuine hearing impairment.
To avoid timing issues and safety issues sorry there will be no walkers or early starters.
During entry, if you state that you are an affiliated UKA runner, you will be required to provide
your UKA URN. These will be checked ahead of the race and anyone who is found not to be
eligible for the affiliated discount will be required to pay the additional £2 on race day in order to
be able to run.
Entrants will be able to swap their entry to another runner until 23:59 on the 30th June 2024. To
do so they must email info@timingmonkey.co.uk and as long as the email has been sent by the
deadline, the transfer will be processed. Affiliated runners may swap their entry with a non-
affiliated runner, however there will be an additional £2 charge to process the transfer.
Minimum age 15 years
This race is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or dogs so sorry but these are not allowed.
If you have a disability please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further your requirements
before entering.
Spectators cycling alongside or behind runners is not permitted.
Race Numbers must be worn unfolded on the front of your chest garment and be visible at all times.

Runners will come across sweeping wide tracks and rough and undulating terrain, trees in the middle of the course and tree roots underfoot. This will call for good eye to foot coordination. If it has been raining there may be some muddy ground to contend with. There are two stiles to cross and a stream to cross as well.

Who? – As long as you are over 17 years of age, ‘You’ and all of your friends and family and colleagues and neighbours. Everybody is invited. If you fancy a go and have not done any running before then the Weymouth St Pauls Harriers team will get you up off of your couch, up and running and achieving a 5k run at the Weymouth Park Run with their WSPH Couch to 5K training Program.
