This event will take place at Puddletown RFC and is a 5km event with a different ale at every km, The event ends into a beer tent where there will be entertainment from the hustle and a bar for those who wish to carry on the festivities.

The last Couch to 5K proved to be extremely popular with 31 runners taking part. We hope that our next course will be equally well attended. We will be running a spring course on 29th April staring at in the college car park at 18.30. The course is FREE, run by UK athletics qualified leaders and following the NHS program.
The annual 5K and 10K run this year will take place on Saturday, 22nd June and will start at 11 AM
The start and finish of the Ferndown 5K and 10K race is on the Ferndown King George V playing fields BH22 9EN. The start is at the main entrance on Peter Grant Way. The finish is at the exit of the Ferndown King George V playing fields adjacent to the Ferndown Leisure Centre.
The Ferndown 5K and the two laps 10K course is a flat, classed as multi-terrain taking in the roads of Ferndown and crossing Ferndown common.
There is an unsecured baggage drop available in the playing field pavilion.
There is free car parking at the Leisure Centre adjacent to the playing fields and at the town centre Tesco car park.
Please note that dogs are not allowed at UKA races.
Runners wearing headphones or earpieces will be disqualified under UKA race rules.
Trophies will be handed out at the finish line for the first three male and females across the line in both the 5K and 10K run (12 trophies). To facilitate trophy presentation and to allow photographs to be taken the recipients are asked to remain at the finishing line for a short time
There will be a medal presented to all that finish the 5K or the 10K run.
The 10K run has a minimum age limit of 16 and the 5K a minimum age of 14.
There are three water stations, one located at the entrance to Ferndown Common, the next at the exit from Ferndown Common and one at the finishing line.

A 10k run on a mixture of typical forest tracks and woodland paths. The last kilometer is on a quiet country road. The event is in memory of Phil Carpenter and Bonnie Christopher and to raise money for Dorset County Hospital Chemotherapy Appeal and ‘Bonnie’s Last Wish for Working Donkeys’

Runners will come across sweeping wide tracks and rough and undulating terrain, trees in the middle of the course and tree roots underfoot. This will call for good eye to foot coordination. If it has been raining there may be some muddy ground to contend with. There are two stiles to cross and a stream to cross as well.

Where? – Moreton Village Hall, Dorset, DT2 8RE will get you to the race HQ where you will finish. The actual start is 1km away on the North side of Moreton Ford. The nearest postcode to the start is DT2 8RJ.
How Much? – £15 will get you into the event and just £2 more if you are not affiliated to UK Athletics.Tickets avaialable from FULL ON SPORT website
Who? – As long as you are over 17 years of age, ‘You’ and all of your friends and family and colleagues and neighbours. Everybody is invited. No dogs I’m afraid. If you fancy a go and have not done any running before then the Weymouth St Pauls Harriers team will get you up off of your couch, up and running and achieving a 5k run at the Weymouth Park Run with their WSPH Couch to 5K training Program. How Long? – It’s only 10 kilometres, that’s 6 1/4 miles in old money.
What’s Included? – Medal for all finishers, trophies for the winners, fully signed and supported route, event Medics, lead bike rider and sweep runners, car parking, bag drop (not secured), post-race refreshment and lots of fun, banter and comradery.

A Family Event for Recreational and Serious Runners
The Piddle Plod is a beautiful 10km and 5km event for runners of all abilities.
This event is our premier event for 2019 and aims not just to be a sensational running event but also an exceptional experience.
For every person whom enters £1 will be donated to our selected charity Ducks and Drakes Cancer Trust.
The race will start and end at the Puddletown Rugby Club in Piddletrenthide taking in beautiful scenery with easily accessible supporter areas. The course will be a lap course which will pass the club house where the atmosphere will be electric and there may even be a tune or two playing to keep you going.
We are planning food and entertainment for the day to ensure that you, your family and your friends are kept entertained all day.
This event will be a timed event as well so you can run against the clock in search of that elusive PB!
There will also be a fun run on the day and all proceeds of this will be donated to the ducks and drakes Cancer Trust!
